Surgeons Remove Metal Objects from Bihar Man's Stomach

In a remarkable surgical case in Bihar's East Champaran district, doctors successfully removed several metal objects from the stomach of a 22-year-old man, including a key ring, a small knife, and nail cutters. The patient was admitted to a private hospital in Motihari after experiencing severe stomach pain, and X-ray imaging revealed the presence of these items. Dr. Amit Kumar, who led the surgical team, reported that the young man had a history of mental health issues and had recently developed a habit of swallowing metal objects. Following the surgery, which took place on Sunday, the patient's condition has improved, and he is expected to be discharged soon. This incident highlights the critical link between physical health and mental well-being, with the patient set to continue psychiatric treatment. A similar case occurred recently in Iran, where over 450 metal objects were extracted from another individual.
