Russian man confesses
Yevgeny Serebryakov, a Russian citizen, confessed in a video to a car bombing in Moscow that injured military officer Andrei Torgashov and his wife, allegedly carried out at the behest of Ukraine's SBU. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that Serebryakov was extradited from Turkey after he fled there following the attack. In the edited video, Serebryakov claimed he was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence in Istanbul, who promised him up to $20,000 and citizenship for the assassination. The bombing, which involved a Toyota Land Cruiser, resulted in Torgashov losing limbs and his wife sustaining shrapnel wounds. While the video has been widely circulated by Russian media, Ukraine has not provided any immediate comment on the allegations. A criminal investigation is underway in Russia regarding the incident.
