Winners of 70th National Film Awards Announced

The 70th National Film Awards were announced on August 16, celebrating the best in Indian cinema for films released in 2022. The Malayalam film 'Aattam' won Best Feature Film, while 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1' received multiple honors including Best Tamil Film, Best Composer for AR Rahman, and Best Cinematographer for Ravi Varman. Rishab Shetty was awarded Best Actor for his role in 'Kantara', and the Best Actress award was shared by Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh. Other notable winners included 'KGF: Chapter 2' for Best Kannada Film and 'Kartikeya 2' for Best Telugu Film. The awards showcased emerging talents and recognized established filmmakers, further highlighting the diversity of regional cinema in India. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi.
