Michael Jung wins Olympic

Michael Jung has made history by winning his fourth Olympic gold medal in individual eventing at the Paris Olympics, becoming the first rider to achieve this feat. The 41-year-old German rider, aboard his horse Chipmunk, finished with a score of 21.80, ahead of Australia's Christopher Burton (22.40) and Britain's Laura Collett (23.10). Jung previously won individual eventing titles in London 2012 and Rio 2016, as well as a team gold in 2012, bringing his total Olympic medal count to five. The event comprised three sections: dressage, cross-country, and showjumping, with Jung delivering flawless performances throughout. This victory marks the first Olympic medal Jung has won with Chipmunk, a horse he acquired in 2019. Meanwhile, Britain secured its first gold medal of the Games by defending its team eventing title earlier in the day.
