US President Biden attends ceremony for soldiers killed in Jordan drone attack
US President Joe Biden attended a ceremony at Dover Air Force Base where he met with the families of three soldiers killed in a drone attack in Jordan. The president and first lady Jill Biden observed the 'dignified transfer' of the soldiers' remains, which was also attended by various US officials, including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Air Force Chief of Staff Charles Q. Brown Jr. Biden blamed 'radical Iranian-backed militant groups' for the attack, and the US subsequently launched airstrikes on facilities of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated militias in Syria and Iraq.
