James Bradberry remains on the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster despite being a potential cut due to his performance decline and transition from cornerback to safety. During practice, Bradberry suffered a lower leg injury that will sideline him for six to eight weeks, testing the Eagles' secondary depth as they begin the season. The Eagles decided against releasing Bradberry because of his football instincts, versatility, and the financial implications of his contract. Although they tried to trade him, no suitors were found. Bradberry, who does not need surgery, will be on injured reserve, leaving the Eagles with Reed Blankenship, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Avonte Maddox as the primary safeties.
