Iose Epenesa Commits to Iowa Football
Iose Epenesa, a highly-rated defensive lineman from Edwardsville, Illinois, has committed to play football for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, following in the footsteps of his father and two older brothers who also played for the team. Ranked as the top recruit in Illinois and the third-best defensive lineman in the country, he chose Iowa over 22 scholarship offers, including from prominent programs like Oregon and Michigan. His father, Eppy Epenesa, announced the commitment on social media, celebrating the family's legacy with the Hawkeyes. Iose's impressive high school career includes 122 tackles and 15 sacks, making him a significant addition to Iowa's 2025 recruiting class. The commitment marks a notable achievement for Iowa's football program as they continue to build a strong defensive line. Epenesa is set to further showcase his skills in the upcoming Polynesian Bowl in January 2025.
