Texans Sign Former Vikings RB Cam Akers

Former Florida State running back Cam Akers has signed with the Houston Texans after working out for the team on Sunday. Akers, who played for the Minnesota Vikings last season, has had a career marred by two torn Achilles injuries. He had previously played for the Los Angeles Rams, who traded him to Minnesota last year. His NFL career includes 1,581 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 320 receiving yards.
