USTA Awards Wild Cards for 2024 US Open
Former champions Naomi Osaka, Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem, and Bianca Andreescu have been granted wildcards for the 2024 US Open, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced. Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam winner, returns after a maternity break but is still regaining her form. Thiem, who announced that 2024 will be his final season, will get a chance to compete in his last major tournament. Wawrinka, 39, continues to impress with his longevity in the sport, while Andreescu returns after a back injury. Other notable men's wildcard recipients include Christopher Eubanks and Zachary Svajda, while Amanda Anisimova and McCartney Kessler are among the women's wildcard entries. The tournament will run from August 26 to September 8 in New York.
