Indian Association of Tour Operators Holds Annual Convention

The 39th Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) in Bhopal focused on enhancing tourism in Madhya Pradesh, with government officials announcing plans to develop over 50 offbeat destinations to alleviate overcrowding at popular sites. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla emphasized the importance of effective marketing by tour operators to promote these new locations globally, alongside ongoing infrastructure improvements in the state. The convention also featured a 'Run for Responsible Tourism' to advocate for eco-friendly travel practices and included sessions discussing the use of AI in tourism. Madhya Pradesh's Tourism Minister announced plans to develop Kuno National Park as a future tourist spot, while various FAM tours were organized to showcase the region's attractions to IATO members. The event concluded with cultural presentations highlighting the state's historical and natural beauty, aiming to position Madhya Pradesh as a key player in India's tourism sector.
