Man Sought for Scalding Baby in Brisbane
A nine-month-old baby boy suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a stranger allegedly poured hot liquid, believed to be coffee, over him at Hanlon Park in Brisbane. The incident occurred around midday on August 27 while the child was with his family, and emergency services were called to treat the burns before taking the baby to the hospital for surgery. Police have released CCTV footage of a man fleeing the scene and are urging the public to assist in identifying him. The suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old, with a proportionate build and tanned skin, wearing a black hat and glasses. Brisbane Detective Inspector Paul Dalton emphasized the seriousness of the crime and advised the perpetrator to turn himself in. Investigators from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit are actively pursuing the case.
