Sukesh Chandrasekhar Offers Rs 15 Crore Donation to Kerala

Sukesh Chandrasekhar, currently imprisoned for alleged extortion, has pledged Rs 15 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund to aid victims of the recent landslides in Wayanad. In a heartfelt letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, he expressed his sorrow for the affected communities and requested the government to accept his donation, asserting that the funds are sourced from legitimate business accounts. Additionally, he committed to constructing 300 houses for those displaced by the disaster. The Kerala government has not yet responded to his offer, which comes as the region continues to grapple with the aftermath of the landslides, where 138 individuals remain unaccounted for and the death toll has reached 226. The ongoing search and rescue operations involve over 1,000 personnel and numerous volunteers. Despite his legal troubles, Chandrasekhar's gesture aims to provide immediate relief and support to the devastated region.
