SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami and Akal Takht Jathedar Gyani Raghbir Singh argue that the film portrays Sikhs as separatists and incites religious sentiments. They demand an FIR against Ranaut and the inclusion of a Sikh representative in the Central Board of Film Certification to prevent future misrepresentations. Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal also supports a review by the SGPC before the film's release, emphasizing the need to respect Sikh contributions. The controversy arises from the film's depiction of historical events and characters, particularly Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale.
