Morgan Freeman accepted an apology from Auburn basketball player Johni Broome for slapping his hand away during a recent game. Broome tried to save a ball from going out of bounds when someone in the front row grabbed his jersey. Thinking it was an Ole Miss fan, he brushed the person’s arm away, and realized it was Freeman. Broome apologized to Freeman, who attends many Rebels games, multiple times and expressed his admiration for the actor. No. 16 Auburn rallied from a 1st half deficit to beat Mississippi 91-77, improving to 18-4 overall and 7-2 in the Southeastern Conference. Freeman, 86, permanently damaged his left hand in a car accident in 2008. The injury caused nerve damage and fibromyalgia. He wears a glove on that hand to aid with mobility and to relieve his pain.
