Santa Rosa Woman Arrested After Causing Brush Fire

A brush fire has shut down Vasco Road between Alameda and Contra Costa counties, causing major traffic delays as authorities work to manage the situation. Additionally, a Santa Rosa woman, Alyssa Metzger, was arrested for DUI after crashing her car into a power pole, which caused a brush fire; she initially provided false identification to police and resisted arrest. The impact of her crash led to power lines falling and igniting a small fire, which was quickly extinguished without damage to nearby structures. Metzger is currently held on $50,000 bail pending further legal proceedings.
