Tom Daley Retires After Paris 2024 Olympics
Tom Daley, Great Britain's most decorated diver, has announced his retirement after a distinguished 16-year career. Daley made his Olympic debut at 14 during the 2008 Beijing Games and has since competed in five consecutive Olympics, earning five medals: one gold, one silver, and three bronzes. He earned his final silver medal in the men's synchronized 10m platform at the Paris 2024 Games alongside Noah Williams. Daley expressed mixed emotions about retiring but felt it was the right time, and he looks forward to spending more time with his family. He has also been tipped to join the reality TV show 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!'. The diver has also become known for his knitting hobby, which gained attention during the Tokyo Games.
