Syrian Migrant Confesses to Germany Festival Attack
A 26-year-old Syrian asylum seeker, identified as Issa Al H., has surrendered to German police and confessed to a stabbing rampage at a diversity festival in Solingen that left three dead and eight injured. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, stating the assailant targeted Christians to avenge Muslims globally. Prosecutors revealed that Al H. had a history of radical Islamic beliefs and attempted to kill as many people as possible. His asylum application was reportedly denied, and he was supposed to be deported last year, yet he had been living in a refugee shelter. The attack has raised concerns over security and the threat of jihadist violence in Germany, prompting discussions on immigration policies and the need for enhanced security measures. The victims included two men aged 67 and 56 and a 56-year-old woman, with several of the injured in serious condition.
