2024 U.S. Amateur Championship Underway in Chaska
St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Cullman, Alabama, is hosting its inaugural golf tournament on September 14 to raise funds for essential upgrades to its facilities, including a new gym floor. The tournament will feature a player scramble format with registration starting at 7 a.m. for a fee of $100 per player, which includes breakfast and lunch. Meanwhile, the U.S. Amateur Championship is currently taking place at Hazeltine National and Chaska Town Course, with only 82 of 312 entrants breaking par on the first day. Notably, Virginia's Paul Chang and Ole Miss's Tom Fischer lead the field with impressive rounds of 64. Additionally, the Friends of Foothills School Division is set to hold their 'Fore Education' golf tournament on August 20, aiming to provide educational opportunities beyond the basic curriculum for students in Alberta.
