Mexican restaurant in San Diego
Two new restaurants are set to enhance the dining scene in California. Chef Jackson Kalb, a 'Top Chef' alumnus, will debut Ospi at Paseo 17 in Costa Mesa, offering a menu inspired by Southern Italian cuisine with dishes like scratch-made pastas and Roman-style pizzas, and is expected to open in the fall. Meanwhile, Cantina Pedregal has opened in Folsom, created by Michelin Bib Gourmand chefs Patricio Wise and Brad Cecchi, serving authentic northeastern Mexican dishes such as Cabrito en Salsa and Tlacoyo de Pulpo, with plans to expand lunch service soon. Chef Esteban Lluis from Valle de Guadalupe is also preparing to launch Kaluú in San Diego by mid-August, featuring a mix of modern dining and nightlife, with a menu showcasing traditional Mexican specialties. Each restaurant emphasizes unique culinary traditions and aims to enrich their respective communities with exceptional dining experiences.
