British Citizen Killed in Russian Airstrike in Ukraine

A British citizen, identified as safety advisor Ryan Evans, was killed in a Russian missile strike on the Hotel Sapfir in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, on August 24, 2024, coinciding with Ukraine's independence day. The missile attack resulted in six additional injuries, including two Reuters journalists who were hospitalized, one with serious injuries. The missile strike, attributed to Russian forces using an Iskander-M missile, occurred in a city frequently targeted due to its proximity to the frontline of the conflict.
