Kennedy Center Honors 2024 Recipients Announced

The 47th Kennedy Center Honors will celebrate director Francis Ford Coppola, the Grateful Dead, singer Bonnie Raitt, jazz musician Arturo Sandoval, and the Apollo Theater in December. This marks the first time an institution, the Apollo, is recognized. Coppola, famed for 'The Godfather' series, expressed gratitude for the honor. The Grateful Dead acknowledged their fan community in accepting the award. Bonnie Raitt and Arturo Sandoval, both acclaimed in their fields, were also recognized for their significant contributions to music. The ceremony will air on CBS and Paramount+ on December 23.
