Man sentenced to 25 years
Luis Escoto, a 28-year-old from St. Lucie County, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for producing child pornography involving a 17-year-old victim, whom he manipulated into sending explicit images. His case was part of Project Safe Childhood, aimed at combating child exploitation. Separately, 46-year-old Willie Gonzales from Amarillo received a 25-year sentence after pleading guilty to producing child pornography by posing as a 14-year-old boy online to entice a 10-year-old girl into sending explicit content. Gonzales's actions were uncovered by authorities following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading to the discovery of explicit materials on his iPhone. Both sentences were handed down after thorough investigations by Homeland Security Investigations and local law enforcement agencies. These cases highlight ongoing efforts to combat child sexual exploitation and enforce strict penalties against offenders.
