This action marks the first federal antitrust case targeting software algorithms used for price-fixing. RealPage, which commands a significant market share in rental pricing software, has denied the allegations, claiming its software is legally compliant and beneficial in competitive markets. The lawsuit follows a two-year investigation and previous raids and lawsuits against property management companies using RealPage's software.
