Mumbai Police have opposed the bail plea of Vicky Gupta, one of the accused shooters in the firing incident at Bollywood star Salman Khan's residence on April 14. The prosecution argues that if released, Gupta could communicate with Lawrence Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind behind the attack, potentially jeopardizing the investigation and destroying crucial evidence. Gupta is said to have been in constant contact with absconding accomplices, purchasing the motorcycle used in the crime under Bishnoi's direction. The police also highlighted Gupta's possible flight risk, as he is originally from Bihar. Bishnoi, currently imprisoned for unrelated charges, has not yet been arrested in connection with this case. Gupta's lawyers claim he was mistakenly influenced by Bishnoi's media portrayal, asserting his innocence as a victim of circumstances.
