Justine Ghekiere Wins Stage 7 of Tour de France Femmes
Justine Ghekiere of Belgium claimed victory in the seventh stage of the Tour de France Femmes, a challenging 166-kilometer route to Le Grand-Bornand, marking her first stage win in the event. Ghekiere, wearing the polka dot jersey, executed a strong final climb, finishing solo ahead of Maeva Squiban and defending champion Demi Vollering. Despite finishing fourth, Katarzyna Niewiadoma retained the yellow jersey, leading Puck Pieterse by 27 seconds going into the final stage. Vollering, who previously lost the yellow jersey due to a crash, is currently eighth overall, 1:15 behind Niewiadoma. The final stage, a 149.9-kilometer trek to Alpe d'Huez, is expected to be decisive for the overall standings. Ghekiere's impressive performance consolidates her lead in the mountain classification of the tour.
