Kannada actor Upendra has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated Tamil film 'Coolie', alongside superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Upendra expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth, likening him to Dronacharya and sharing that he feels blessed to work with his idol. Rajinikanth has praised Upendra's unique contributions to cinema, stating, 'There is no one in India who thinks like Upendra.' Despite initial rumors, Upendra confirmed his role after a successful look test, although he later deleted his announcement post. 'Coolie' is currently filming, and speculation suggests Upendra may play a significant role, possibly even the main villain. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and will mark Rajinikanth's 171st project.
