Production Begins for The Running Man Adaptation

Production for the new adaptation of Stephen King's The Running Man will begin this November, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Glen Powell. This remake, greenlit by Paramount Pictures, aims to be more faithful to King’s 1982 novel than the 1987 film featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story follows a falsely convicted man, played by Powell, who must survive a deadly game show to earn his freedom. Powell is balancing filming with his studies at the University of Texas, utilizing distance learning to complete his degree. He expressed excitement about working with Wright, noting the director's passion for the project and their collaborative efforts on the script. As of now, a release date for The Running Man has not been announced.
