Trump shooting on roof
Newly released footage from a victim of the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump shows a figure moving on the roof of the American Glass Research (AGR) building just minutes before the shooting. The video, taken at 6:08 p.m., captures Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter, who opened fire at 6:11 p.m., resulting in the death of former fire chief Corey Comperatore and injuries to Trump and two others, including James Copenhaver. Investigations revealed that Crooks had conducted reconnaissance of the rally site days prior and accessed the roof by climbing HVAC equipment. The Secret Service has faced scrutiny for failing to detect Crooks before the attack, leading to the resignation of its director. Questions remain regarding how Crooks managed to evade security measures and the adequacy of the response from law enforcement during the incident. Copenhaver, who was critically injured, is currently recovering in a rehabilitation center after being discharged from the hospital.
