Huey Lewis Stars in New Fox Sitcom
Huey Lewis is set to star in and executive produce a new mockumentary sitcom titled Whatever Happened to Huey Lewis, which will follow his life after losing his hearing due to Meniere's disease. The show, adopting a Curb Your Enthusiasm-style format, will humorously depict Lewis navigating this new phase with support from his eccentric friends and family. Notable figures involved in the project include Jimmy Kimmel and Kirker Butler, who will write and produce alongside Lewis. This marks another venture into acting for Lewis, who has previously appeared in various TV shows and films, including his iconic role in Back to the Future. His most recent album, Weather, was released in 2020, and he previously had a Broadway musical based on his music, The Heart of Rock and Roll, which ran earlier this year. The series is currently in development at Fox, illustrating Lewis's enduring presence in entertainment despite his health challenges.
