Blues Tender Offer Sheets to Oilers RFAs
The St. Louis Blues have issued offer sheets to Edmonton Oilers restricted free agents Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway, adding potential complications to the Oilers' salary cap situation. The Blues offered Broberg a two-year, $9.16 million contract and Holloway a two-year, $4.58 million deal. If the Oilers decline to match, they will receive a second-round pick for Broberg and a third-round pick for Holloway as compensation. To facilitate these offers, the Blues made a trade with Pittsburgh to reacquire their 2025 second-round pick. The Oilers have seven days to match the offers or let the players go. The move is significant given Edmonton's current cap constraints, being over $354,000 above the limit.
