Adidas has announced the upcoming release of the Dame 9, the ninth signature sneaker from NBA star Damian Lillard, in collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand BAPE. The sneaker, which debuted during the 2024 NBA Playoffs, is the lightest in Lillard's line, featuring advanced technologies such as Lightstrike cushioning and an internal Lycra bootie for support. The Dame 9 will be available in two primary colorways—green camo and red—alongside an additional USA-inspired iteration, all retailing for $160. The full collection includes matching apparel such as jerseys and shorts, set to launch on August 31 on Adidas' platforms and select retailers. Lillard aims to prove himself as a championship contender with the Milwaukee Bucks in the upcoming season, following a disappointing first year. This release marks the continuation of the successful partnership between Lillard and BAPE, reminiscent of their earlier collaboration on the Dame 4.
