Wausau Man Charged with Felony Murder

Thomas Lee Schroeder, a 43-year-old man from Wausau, faces felony murder charges following a fight on Sunday evening that resulted in the death of 53-year-old Chad Lattimer. Police received a 911 call around 6:20 p.m. reporting a fight in the 400 block of Washington Street, where they found Lattimer unconscious with a head injury. He was transported to a hospital but died from his injuries on Monday. Schroeder allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended by police shortly afterward, after a brief struggle. In addition to felony murder, he faces charges of resisting an officer and bail jumping. He is scheduled to appear in court for his initial hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
