Joseph Brandon Gerdvil Charged with Double Homicide

Joseph Brandon Gerdvil, 41, is accused of decapitating his parents, Ronald and Antoinette Gerdvil, and killing their dog in San Juan Capistrano, California. After the gruesome murders, Gerdvil fled the scene in a golf cart, later confronting police officers while covered in blood and wielding a metal object. Despite multiple commands to surrender, Gerdvil was shot multiple times by officers before collapsing. Disturbingly, he began singing Tina Turner's 'What's Love Got to Do with It' and Stevie Wonder's 'I Just Called to Say I Love You' while lying on the ground. Gerdvil has been charged with double homicide and remains hospitalized. Authorities were alerted to the crime by a family member who received alarming texts and images from Gerdvil.
