Steve Belichick to Interview for Defensive Job at University of Washington

The University of Washington is set to appoint Steve Belichick as its new defensive coordinator, according to a report by 247Sports. Belichick, son of the legendary Bill Belichick, has spent 12 years on the Patriots' coaching staff, working in a variety of roles, most recently as outside linebackers coach. His departure from Foxborough comes after the Patriots' disastrous 4-13 season and the mutual split between the younger Belichick and his father. University of Washington's new head coach, Jedd Fisch, previously worked with the younger Belichick when he was quarterbacks coach for the Patriots. Fisch is filling three spots on his defensive staff.
