Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has reportedly abandoned the Gaza tunnels and is now hiding among the Palestinian population, disguised as a woman, in an effort to evade Israeli forces. Brigadier General Dan Goldfus revealed that Israeli troops were just minutes away from capturing him during a recent raid on his underground lair, where they found his coffee still hot. Former Shin Bet official Shalom Ben Hanan noted that Sinwar is aware of the advanced technology used by Israel to track movements in tunnels and thus prefers to stay above ground for short periods.
