Diamond Sports Group Secures NBA, NHL Broadcasts

Diamond Sports Group (DSG), the largest broadcaster of regional sports networks, has secured agreements to broadcast games for 13 NBA and 9 NHL teams during the 2024-2025 season amidst its bankruptcy proceedings. The deals, pending approval from a federal bankruptcy judge, exclude the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans. DSG's CEO, David Preschlack, emphasized the importance of these agreements in ensuring the company's emergence from bankruptcy and its continued service to local sports fans. DSG had earlier resolved a distribution dispute with Comcast, affecting Xfinity customers. The next bankruptcy court hearing is scheduled for September 3, with additional procedural deadlines proposed for October and November.
