Dalton Papali'i to New Zealand
Dalton Papali’i, the 26-year-old loose forward for the All Blacks and Blues, has extended his commitment to New Zealand Rugby until the end of 2027, coinciding with the Rugby World Cup in Australia. He has played 34 Tests since his debut in 2018 and is recognized for his impressive performance, having made the most tackles for the Blues last season. Papali’i expressed his enthusiasm for continuing with the Blues and contributing to the All Blacks, stating, 'I’m loving my footy right now at every level'. All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson praised Papali’i as a world-class player and a vital asset to the team. Blues GM Murray Williams and head coach Vern Cotter also highlighted Papali’i's significance to the club's future plans. The flanker has also extended his deal with Counties-Manukau in the NPC for the same duration.
