Two Teens Arrested After Joliet Armed Robbery

Authorities are intensifying the search for 17-year-old Carson McCarty, who has been missing from Joliet since January. Despite several reported sightings, including areas in Northwestern Indiana, the Will County Sheriff’s Office has yet to locate her and is requesting public assistance. In a separate incident, two teens were arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday, where a 17-year-old boy held two girls at gunpoint in Joliet. The suspect fired a shot during a struggle over the car keys but fled the scene; however, police later apprehended two individuals involved in the robbery. The investigation is ongoing, and police are still searching for the original armed robber. Residents were issued a shelter-in-place order during the search but it was later lifted without any reported injuries.
