Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of national unity, warning that divisions could lead to turmoil similar to the recent unrest in Bangladesh. Speaking at an event in Agra, Adityanath stated, 'Batenge toh Katenge' (If we are divided, we will be destroyed) and urged people to avoid the mistakes seen in Bangladesh, where political instability and violence have targeted the Hindu minority. The Chief Minister also criticized the opposition for remaining silent on these issues to protect their vote banks. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav responded by accusing Adityanath of overstepping his role and aspiring to become the Prime Minister, suggesting that foreign affairs should be managed by the central government.
