Will Fish Set to Join Cardiff City

Manchester United has reached an agreement with Cardiff City for the permanent transfer of central defender Will Fish for a fee of up to £2 million. The 21-year-old defender, who has been with United since the age of seven and spent the last two seasons on loan at Hibernian, is set to undergo a medical before finalizing the move. Fish's transfer comes as Cardiff seeks to strengthen its defense after a poor start to the Championship season, having conceded seven goals in just two matches. Alongside Fish, United has also offloaded other young talents, including Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaikos, to make room for new signings. Cardiff's manager Erol Bulut emphasized the urgency of bolstering the squad, especially in light of their recent performances. Fish's arrival will mark Cardiff’s seventh signing of the summer, as they aim to improve their defensive lineup ahead of their rivalry match against Swansea City.
