PPP Open to Dialogue with Imran Khan

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has expressed willingness to engage in dialogue with jailed former prime minister Imran Khan if he is open to talks, according to senior PPP leader Khurshid Shah. Shah emphasized the importance of negotiations, citing President Asif Ali Zardari's history of resolving issues through dialogue. This development comes amidst significant political instability in Pakistan, particularly following the February 8 elections that intensified the rivalry between Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the ruling PPP-PML-N alliance. Although PTI has previously rejected negotiations with the current government, recent indications suggest a potential openness to discussions with various state institutions. Calls for reconciliation are growing from multiple societal and political sectors, urging the PTI to consider negotiations.
