Fayette County Man Arrested for Wife's Murder
Kenneth Hardin Jr. has been arrested in Louisiana after allegedly killing his wife, Carrie Hardin, burning her body, and burying the remains in their Fayetteville, Georgia home. Hardin confessed to family members, claiming self-defense, before fleeing the state. His father reported the incident to authorities, leading deputies to discover Carrie's partially burned remains in a shallow grave. Hardin was tracked to a motel in Covington, Louisiana, where he was apprehended by a SWAT team. He is currently held in the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center awaiting extradition to Georgia. Investigators from Fayette County are in Louisiana continuing the investigation and questioning Hardin.
