JJP Faces Resignations Ahead of Haryana Elections

The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) is facing a significant crisis as five MLAs have resigned just days after the announcement of Haryana's assembly elections scheduled for October 1. Among the resigning MLAs are prominent figures such as Devender Babli, Ishwar Singh, Ramkaran Kala, and Anoop Dhanak, with indications that many may join the Congress or the BJP. The party, once holding 10 seats and led by former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, is now left with only three loyal MLAs, raising concerns over its viability in the upcoming elections. Internal dissatisfaction has been attributed to the party's declining support and disconnection from its base, particularly following the loss of its alliance with the BJP prior to the Lok Sabha elections. The Election Commission has confirmed that elections will be held for 90 assembly seats, with a total of 20,629 polling booths set to be established across the state.
