New Jersey Teen Charged in Post-Game Shooting
A 16-year-old has been charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses after allegedly shooting two other teens following a football game at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, injuring a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, who were both hospitalized with non-fatal gunshot wounds. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, and a firearm was recovered at the scene. Lenape High School, which played against Passaic Tech, stated that no students or staff from their institution were harmed. The case has been referred to the Passaic County Family Court for further proceedings. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the prosecutor's office.
