Mother and Child Killed in Livermore Crash

A tragic single-vehicle crash in Livermore, California, early Sunday morning resulted in the deaths of a 24-year-old woman and her 5-year-old child, with a 25-year-old man critically injured. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on South Vasco Road near Naylor Avenue when the black Hyundai they were in veered off the road and collided with a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The woman died at the scene, while the child succumbed to injuries at a hospital. The adults were in a dating relationship, and all three victims were from Manteca. Police have not determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, and the identities of the victims will be released by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau.
