Suni Lee Wins Bronze in Uneven Bars at Paris 2024
Suni Lee secured her third medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning a bronze in the women's uneven bars final, bringing her overall Olympic medal tally to six. Competing last, Lee scored a 14.800 with a conservative routine, narrowly edging out Nina Derwael. Algeria's Kaylia Nemour made history by winning gold with a score of 15.700, marking the first Olympic gymnastics medal for an African nation, while China's Qiu Qiyuan took silver with 15.500. Lee, who has also won gold in the team event and bronze in the all-around in Paris, aims to add to her medal haul in the upcoming balance beam final. This win makes Lee the first American woman to win back-to-back Olympic medals on the same event since Aly Raisman.
