Teen Killed in Rare Shark Attack in Jamaica

Jahmari Reid, a 16-year-old from Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica, was tragically killed in a rare shark attack while spearfishing alone near Montego Bay. His decapitated body, missing a left arm, was found the next day by divers who reported a large tiger shark in the vicinity. This incident marks only the fourth unprovoked fatal shark attack in Jamaica's history. Jahmari's family, particularly his father Michael Reid, expressed deep grief, noting that he had often warned his son against solo spearfishing. Efforts to locate and kill the shark have so far been unsuccessful. Local experts speculate the shark may have followed a cruise ship into the area.
