Royal family member dies
The royal family is in mourning following the death of Lord Robert Fellowes, Queen Elizabeth II's former private secretary and brother-in-law to Princess Diana, who died at the age of 82 on July 29, 2024. Fellowes served the Queen during some of her most challenging times, including the divorces of her children and the aftermath of Princess Diana's tragic death. He was closely connected to the royal family from birth and was noted for his loyalty to the Queen throughout his life. Meanwhile, Prince Michael of Greece and Denmark, a first cousin of Prince Philip, passed away at 85 in an Athens hospital. He was the last surviving grandchild of King George I of Greece and a respected historian, having renounced his royal rights to marry Marina Karella. His funeral will take place in Athens on August 1, 2024.
