The Jammu and Kashmir administration has dismissed four government employees, including two police constables, under Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution for links with terror outfits and involvement in narco-terror activities. This provision allows the government to terminate employees without an inquiry if deemed necessary for state security. The dismissed employees are Mushtaq Ahmad Pir and Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone from the police department, Bazil Ahmad Mir from the education department, and Mohd Zaid Shah from the rural development department. The administration has now terminated 64 employees since 2019 on similar grounds, following a zero-tolerance policy toward narco-terrorism. Political parties in Jammu and Kashmir have criticized these dismissals, calling them arbitrary.
