Sarita secured her place by defeating Malaysia's Nur Jannaton Abdul Jalil 138-124 and will compete against Paralympic record holder Eleonora Sarti of Italy next. Rakesh Kumar triumphed over Senegal's Aliou Drame with a score of 136-131 and will face Indonesia's Ken Swagumilang in the pre-quarterfinals. Swami, who tied with Thailand's Comsan Singpirom at 138-138, lost in a shoot-off after both archers shot 10s, with Singpirom's arrow landing closer to the center. Both Rakesh and Sarita are building on their past successes, having medaled at previous events.
